What would you do if the love of your life was suddenly taken away by demons? For Justin, the most exciting moment in any given day is the house salad/no dressing he orders on his lunch break. Then one day a bizarre and curiously naive woman named April sits down at his table and changes his life forever. The world seems bright and full of hope, until April is mysteriously snatched away by a snarky fellow from the underworld. Willing to do anything to get her back, Justin pulls out the strange, ancient book she kept closely guarded. He draws a protective circle on the ground and commands the power of the one demon marked in the book by a red ribbon — the demon Lo.

While Justin tries desperately to keep control of the demon he has summoned, Lo has other plans for the tasty human who sits just inches away inside his circle. With the help of a few pit-dwelling pals, the demon tries to sow doubt about Justin’s relationship with April and offers a preview of the hellish torments in store for those who deal with demons. As he relives scenes from his past, and contends with singing demons, a talking hand, a dancing bartender offering tantalizing cocktails with a deadly twist, and pair of bickering lost souls, Justin’s love is put to the ultimate test. Will he sacrifice himself to save the soul of the woman he loves? In this tongue-in-cheek trip between dimensions, love may be Hell, but Hell is funny. –AR
