An investigation of cinematic rhythms & harmonies (color, movement, image) in terms of the (il)logic of a dream of longing. A blend of abstract cinematic language in the tradition of Oskar Fischinger & surrealist live-action imagery in the vein of Un chien andalou. More information available at: rubyquincunx.org/ms/illogic/This film is screening as part of the musical project 'Music For Silent Films', by the Barnes, Becker and Wright Trio, featuring live improvised music accompanying contemporary silent films.Will screen at the Zeitgeist Theatre in New Orleans on 8 August 2008, & on 25-6 July in New York City.
