Leah Meyerhoff is an award winning filmmaker who has had great success on the film festival circuit. This retrospective of her work will show aspiring filmmakers a possible path they might take in their own careers.
Leah graduated with Honors from Brown University with a BA in Art-Semiotics, after taking additional courses at the Rhode Island School of Design. She spent the following year at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is currently pursuing an MFA in Film at New York University.
While at NYU, Leah directed Twitch, a Student Academy Award finalist and Slamdance Grand Jury Prize winner. Twitch has screened in over 200 film festivals, including Cannes, Woodstook, Chicago International, and Boston Underground. After winning over a dozen international awards, Twitch was picked up for distribution by IFC. Leah has since directed several music videos, including Team Queen, a Planet Out finalist on LOGO, and Eternal Flame on MTV Europe. Leah was also profiled on the docudrama series Film School, which continues to air on IFC.
Leah is currently in development on her first feature Unicorns, a Sundance Screenwriting Lab finalist scheduled to go into production this summer.
